I'm still a bit curious as to how closely the Japanese will follow the series. If they don't really follow the main storyline, I hope they that do side stories instead like they did with the Eureka comic or volume 2 of the Batman Beyond comics. The art style will take a little bit of getting used to though as well. 5s5n1c
Anybody else still waiting for Season 3 of the show?

This seems alrite, but then again I've already seen the actual show, so this is a rather big step down when you compare the two different mediums.
Not to mention it's kinda sucky when you already know the answer to the mystery too, so I'm not a huge fan of this adaptation right off the bat because the first arc is exactly the same as the first episode "A study in pink".
Would appreciate if they branch out into the cases they didn't tell in the TV series, there were a lot of cases they just skipped by in the show that I wouldn't mind reading it in this form.
They did capture Benedict Cumberbatch quite well I must say, although Martin Freeman's Watson's completely weird looking and inconsistent throughout the first chapter...
I'll have to wait until they do something different before this can be sorted into either my keep or leave lists, the show has done quite a fantastic job of this iteration already so seeing it on ink in exact replica form is a bit unimpressive.
Still waiting on Season 3 for sure, definitely looking forward to how they're going to continue the series.

Since the manga is presently called Sherlock A Study in Pink I'm guessing that it's going to be pretty much the first episode of the show in manga form.

Well, after killing off Sherlocke Doyle actually brought him back to life because he was so popular.. So it's not hard.. It's not like he actually died at the end of the series, it's just the majority of the world thought he did..
He could disappear into another country and continue his work there or something..

There is no need for a "bullshit way" out of it honestly.. Lol.. And because of the writers involved, I highly doubt it'd be a dream or anything like that..

I think this is sooooo stupid on many levels. I mean, i love SH and all, but writing a manga based on a tv series, which is based on a novel? So do you even have any ounce of imagination and creativity at all? even the drawing is a total rip off from the movie. Gosh, this totally ruins my day

I don't think it's stupid at all. There's been worse manga adapations made.
I'm not sure myself, but maybe it was made into manga form so people in Japan would be able to appreciate the TV version?
