Hello everyone! ・∀・)ノ゛ 626013
I'm looking for some manga recommendations. I'm particularly interested in historical manga with a bit of romance and detective work or mystery with settings maybe from the 1930s to the 1960s (19th century I guess?). While I usually enjoy female protagonists, I'm open to male protagonists as well.
Here are some examples of mangas I’ve thought of:
- Baccano!?
- Spy X Family
- Fullmetal Alchemist
- Yuukoku no Moriarty
- For Those of You For Whom Regret Is a Luxury
- My Beloved Oppressor
- The Redemption of Earl Nottingham
- The Male Leads Are Trapped in My House
- Betrayal of Dignity
- The Psycho Duke and I
- It Was Love at First Sight, Mr. Villain!
- Try Begging Me* (I'm also ok with mature content)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance 人´∀`)

Not really mystery but I think fits the time period
Others that might fit
- Cry, or Better Yet, Beg
- The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion
- The Fantasie of a Stepmother
- Your Eternal Lies
- Bring the Love
- The Broken Ring: This Marriage Will Fail Anyway
- Lady Evony
- Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady With the Lamp
- Lucia (Taruvi)
- What It Means to Be You
- What's Wrong With You, Duke?
- Madame Petit
- Meiji Hiiro Kitan
- Usotoki Rhetoric
Not necessarily your ask but based on the series you listed you might enjoy

that part of the 20th century was definitely a fascinating period in many places, one of my favorites tbh.
- many of ero-guro horror mangaka Suehiro Maruo's greatest works take place in 1930's japan. Shoujo Tsubaki, to many his masterwork, takes place in a traveling freakshow circa the late 30's, as do many if his short works. his story "non-resistance city" takes place in tokyo in the immediate aftermath of ww2, and tho it hasn't yet been translated, his recent series An Gura is a really interesting perspective of youth culture and subversive politics/the student movement in late 60's japan.
- Osamu Tezuka's Ayako is a political thriller which begins in late 40's japan and moves on up through its time of serialization in the early 70s, and has some detective-esque mystery to it. His series Message to Adolf may also be of interest, as it's an international thriller set during WW2.
- there are multiple adaptations of Osamu Dazai's novel No Longer Human, which depicted a contemporary setting when it was released in 1948, but ive only read the junji ito one. i recommend it, but it doesnt have much of the story elemebts youre looking for

Watashi no shiawase na kekkon is in 1920-1930s Japan, and while I haven't kept up with releases, I believe the series even made note about the changes in the daily lives of the people as Japan became introduced to the western world.
You can also read the various Anne of Green Gables manga out there, which if you didn't know, is set in the late 19th century into the early 20th century.
