  1. No, it doesn't even indicate that he created it in the manga he just made one for his personal use.

  2. &3) Both very unlikely, considering neither developed until a lot more recently, but you never know.

1- No, they were brought to Europe by Avars during Early Middle Ages. We don't have archaeological evidence before that.
2- Common sense would say "no" but there is no way to know that, since we can't "prove believes".
3- No, considering that the ancestor of chess (Chaturunga) is dated to 6th century AD, India.
